Andrew Rudd, TV3 Chef and life-long foodie, has teamed up with Houseworks Chef Ruth Wassel, from Dublin’s leading kitchen showroom, to create a series of bespoke cookery evenings.
Informative and fun, the classes, titled ‘Take the fear out of cooking’ are suitable for anyone who enjoys to cook. “Whether you’re young or old, a complete novice or a dab hand in the kitchen, I promise you’ll enjoy the night, and maybe even learn a few things!” said Andrew. “The venue, Houseworks, with its state of the art SieMatic demonstration kitchen and Gaggenau appliances, really adds a wow factor to the night.”
Each class begins with a champagne reception with specialist boutique champagne supplier Le Petit Bacchus, before an introduction to the content of the evening. Over the next few hours guests will learn how best to manage their time in the kitchen, how to select the best ingredients, organise their kitchen and choose the best equipment and utensils. The evening continues with a variety of short demonstrations, discussions and tastings.
The recipes that are featured throughout the class are very straightforward and easy to prepare. During the course of the evening, everyone involved will get the chance to sit down and enjoy the dishes that have been prepared, accompanied by a glass of wine or two. Together, Andrew and Ruth will prepare and cook up to 9 different dishes, providing everyone with the ideas and the confidence to prepare a three-course meal; starters, main courses and pudding…
This is a fantastic way to build cooking confidence, enhance knowledge, and to learn about managing time. SPECIAL SPRING OFFER MARCH/APRIL 2009 – CLASSES REDUCED TO €75
