A brand new food festival is going to take place in Dublin this weekend from today to Sunday, 26th October: Taste City Fusion! More than 50 different events about food and drinks will take place in different venues all over Dublin. The vast programme includes master classes and workshops, tastings and trails. Here are our favourites…

 

1.Food Truck Fair at Christchurch Cathedral

From Friday, 23rd to Sunday, 25th October, the ground of Christchurch Cathedral will be transformed into an amazing food truck fair where visitors can sample delights from Jack Rabbit, The Pigs Tale, Kerala Kitchen, Once upon a Thai and others. Best thing about it: the entrance is free!

2. Thursday: Lambay Crab Master Class @ Klaw

The Master Class will teach participants all about the beautiful seafood that Ireland has to offer. You will be shown how to cook and prepare a whole crab the Klaw way and have the option of preparing one for yourself and devour the fruits of your labour paired with one of their wines.

3. Friday: All About Organics @ Stanley’s

For the wine lovers out there: Stanley’s Wine Director Morgan Vander Kamer will present a seminar on different wine making techniques while you taste five wines matched with Organic canapes. You’ll learn a lot of interesting things about Organic, Biodynamic and Natural wines – Cheers!

4. Saturday: Cookie Master Class for Kids with The Dublin Cookie Company 

The kids should not be neglected during Taste City Fusion – and what’s better for children than cookies? In this master class, they will craft lots of different cookie styles and leave with a box full of yummy treats. This interactive class is for kids ages 4 and up who like to nibble self-made cookies and make up new friends!

When? 11:00 to 12:00 and 16:00 to 17:00

5. Sunday: Bottomless Sunday Brunch @ SÖDER + KO

Isn’t a Sunday that is followed a free Monday THE opportunity for a little party? The fabulous SÖDER + KO Sunday Brunch is different from other Brunches – it’s focused on drinks and not on food. So have your breakfast in bed and then head off to SÖDER + KO to enjoy Absolut cocktails and Hophouse beers, all served out on their cool rooftop terrace to the sounds of their resident DJ. Each guest will be given 4 drink tokens which are valid for Hophouse Lager, Absolut Cocktails or red / white wine. Sunday is Funday!
