With the first midterm break of 2016 fast approaching it’s important to keep those busy young minds occupied. You don’t want them to be stuck indoors, playing video games and eating junk food for the whole week. The Butlers Chocolate Experience is the perfect interactive and fun activity that will not only entertain and engage them, but will also be very popular with the rest of the family!
The Butlers Chocolate Experience has recently been expanded, making it even bigger and better. It’s not every day that you get the opportunity to see what goes on behind the doors of one of the world’s biggest chocolate factories. There are some undeniable facts of life, one of them being that everybody loves chocolate no matter what their age. Whether you’re a salted caramel fan, raspberry and white chocolate, or hazelnut praline, there is something for everybody at Butlers.
Once you enter this chocolate wonderland, you will get to watch a movie that will teach you about the fascinating origins and history of chocolate, explore their museum, and see firsthand the creation of Butler’s bars, toffee and fudge inside the factory. The Butlers Experience Room will allow chocolate lovers to decorate and paint their own chocolate figure, which can be brought home as a memory of the trip, if it survives that long! To finish off your trip, there is an onsite Butlers Chocolate Cafe where you can grab a gourmet salad or sandwich with an award winning rich and indulgent hot chocolate before you head home.
The Butlers Chocolate Experience in Clonshaugh is easily accessible from the M50/M1 and there is plenty of free parking available to visitors. The entry fee is 13.50 euro’s per person, advanced booking is essential, but you can save 5% off the total cost by booking online. There are also Valentine heart shaped chocolate boxes if it slipped your mind to pick up something romantic for a loved one!
