Another week of a bizarre Bite Size news!
Bad Bobs crazy hot wings
Bad Bobs in Temple Bar have spiced up their food menu by adding chicken wings served with a Devil’s Blood hot sauce. The chilli extract weighs in at a hefty 800,000 Scoville units, and is so hot that the Chef needs to wear not only gloves but a face mask when using it. We like spicy food as much as the next person, but this time we will live vicariously through you! If you’re foolhardy brave enough to give these chicken wings a shot, tweet and let us know how it went!!
Starbucks doing their best to make you diabetic
Starbucks and their coffee have become easy targets for criticism, it’s almost like pistol whipping a blind kid at this point. If they aren’t butchering names written on their coffee cups, they are putting signs on their door saying “No entry for ladies”, are becoming embroiled in tax scandals in the UK, or being accused of racism by the actress Thandie Newton. The latest issue they have to try and address is the fact that some of their drinks contain up to 25 teaspoons of sugar, which converts to 125 grams and is three times more than the recommended maximum adult daily intake. We personally can’t wait to hear how their PR staff will try and spin this one!
American Crime Story
Looking to fill that true crime void in your life since you finished “Making a Murderer”? American Crime Story is an anthology series centred around some of history’s most famous criminals, the first few episodes looking at the infamous case of The People vs O.J. Simpson. It stars the likes of Cuba Gooding Jr., David Schwimmer and John Travolta. It’s bizarre yet so entertaining, a must-watch!
Burger King’s exciting hotdogs
McDonald’s and Burger King seem to always want to stay one step ahead of each other with some new food idea. Now Burger King plan on taking over the hot dog world, offering options like the “Classic and Chilli cheese” as well as allowing customers to make their own flavoured versions. They say they want them to be the Whopper of hot dogs…We aren’t feeling this idea, and we dread to think of what a McDonalds version would look like!
Don’t have the time to make a cuppa in the morning? Scientists have come up with the perfect solution for this terrible problem by creating a caffeine bracelet. It’s designed by Joule and consists of a caffeine patch that will ensure you always get your fix! You will look ridiculous and people will make jokes about you wearing it, but think of all that time you will save not having to make coffee each morning!
