Chocolate lovers can rejoice as Porterhouse has released their annual 5.0% Chocolate Truffle Stout. If you ever wondered what an alcohol version of hot chocolate tasted like, then you need to pay a visit to one of the Porterhouse bars this week. When making the beer they add chocolate that has a high cocoa content, which gives the beer a rich flavour of vanilla, caramel and dark fruits.

Once it’s gone, you will have to wait a whole year to try it again, so make sure to pop by and drink some as it is going to fly out this week!

Urine flavoured Kellogg’s

When you eat out at restaurants, usually the worst thing you can imagine is food being dropped on the floor and still used or chefs not washing their hands. However seemingly it’s a little different in the cereal business. Food giant Kellogg’s has been in the news lately as one of their employees videoed himself pissing all over the cereal-production line. The video was first posted in 2014 but Kellogg’s legal team managed to suppress it rather well. We suggest giving your Rice Krispies cereal the old sniff test before you add your milk into it tomorrow morning!

With St. Patty’s Day St. Patrick’s Day soon upon us, the marketing team at Guinness has been hard at work promoting it throughout the world. This celebration is their cash cow and no doubt had everybody on the marketing team working extremely hard, well except for one person. A Canadian staff member created a poster for St. Patrick’s Day that mistakenly had a clover, not a shamrock on it. We all have bad days at the office, but we find it hard to understand how this error got by so many people!

January is known for people saying “New year, new me” and rushing out to buy membership at their local gym, only for them to stop going by the time February rolls in. If you’re one of the few that has stuck with it and actually transferred into a new version of yourself, then you are no doubt now obsessed with how much protein you should be consuming each day. NAS, the rapper, has come up with a new way to ensure you can stay in shape by investing in a cricket protein bar company called Exo. They’ve hired a Michelin star chef to help with the bar recipe, and it should be known that 80% of the world already snack on tasty bugs.

Throw away that whey protein powder and pick up some of that insect powder right now!

Zozimus Bar

If you were walking around Anne’s Lane recently you may have noticed a few umbrellas floating in the sky. They were part of the grand opening of Zozimus Bar, a new high end establishment specialising in small batch spirits, an extensive wine choice, as well as classic and modern cocktails. There are food options too but they tend to be in smaller bite size portions. The one thing that really differentiates Zozimus from other cocktail bars is its beautiful looking golden circular bar, something that would not be amiss in the film Casablanca!
