Love Irish Food, the organisation established in 2009 to promote homegrown Irish produce, have just announced the launch of the 5th annual Love Irish Food Brand Development Awards. One lucky member brand stands to win the opportunity of a lifetime: €70,000 in advertising space, provided by Irish marketing giants, Exterion Media.
Love Irish Food is dedicated to helping consumers make informed choices when pushing their trollies around the local supermarket. Given the wealth of natural resources and fresh ingredients this country possesses, it’s no wonder that their members range from household names (think Ballymaloe, Flahavans or MiWadi) to the newer kids on the block (such as Gino’s Gelato). Last year’s winner, Rye River’s McGargles brand, is a shining example of the effect an affiliation with Love Irish Food can have on an up-and-coming business. According to Niall Phelan, Director of The Rye River Brewing Company, “Winning the Brand Development Award was a massive achievement for our business. The McGargles brand had its most successful year last year, and winning the Love Irish Food Brand Development Awards was a big part of that. I’d encourage all Love Irish Food members that are new to advertising to enter to be in with a chance of winning this great award.”
Exterion Media’s Antoinette O’Callaghan, one of the three judges who will determine the winning brand revealed that “As judges we will be looking for brand owners to demonstrate the drive and passion they have in their products and how this award can be of benefit to them”.
To enter, member brands must register at http://www.loveirishfood.ie by Friday 10th of October 2016. The closing date for completed submissions is Friday 4th of November and the winner will be announced on Monday 21st of November.
