Following up from their successful two-week residency at Dame Lane in Dublin this past May, the renowned brewery is bringing another taste of Italy to the heart of the capital city.
This November the 23rd, Francesco Mazzei, one of the world’s leading Italian chefs, will be sharing his passion for the flavours of his homeland through a fabulous five course banquet in Charlotte Quay, courtesy of The House of Peroni.
The menu will include a selection of antipasti offerings, such as Speck all’Anatra (home cured duck speck with wild berries), Battuta di Tuna (a tuna dish, akin to a tartare) and Insalata di Carciofini (artichoke and pea shoot salad). To follow, diners can expect Tortelli filled with Burrata, a fresh cheese made from mozzarella and cream, Liquorice-cured Baccalà (salt cod) and a magnificent roasted Lamb with Artichokes. To round off the meal, an array of traditional Italian pastries will be served as well as a wonderfully aromatic Crema al Bergamotto (bergamot cream) served with bitter chocolate sorbet.
Francesco, chef patron at Sartoria restaurant in Mayfair’s Savile Row since 2015, has long been considered one of London’s best chefs, and has shared his culinary vision with the world through restaurants in Edinburgh, Milan, Bangkok as well as London. Describing his style of cooking as “Mamma’s cooking with chef hands”, he commented: “The plethora of ingredients unique to Italy are my source of inspiration to create menus drawn from Southern Italian feasts. The ritual of family gatherings and local celebrations that are so integral to Italy’s heritage, will be celebrated at The House of Peroni Presents evening in Ireland. I am really looking forward to sharing a Southern Italian culinary journey with our guests.”
Tickets are available from www.thehouseofperoni.com, priced at €65 per person, which includes a complimentary Peroni Nastro Azzuro on arrival and delicious Peroni infusions during the evening.
