Fancy something a little different for your Friday night? Why not embrace the opportunity to experience some of Ireland’s top up and coming artists and musicians all while sipping on Hennessy at a tasting masterclass?

RHA’s Hennessy Lost Friday returns for its final installment of 2017 on Friday 20th October. See the stunning surrounds of the RHA Gallery come alive with a mix of dynamic artists, musicians and creatives at the forefront of Ireland’s cultural scene from 7.45pm until late. For more information and to purchase tickets please click here.

RHA Hennessy Lost Friday presents cutting edge acts from the Irish music scene. Enjoy live performances from Columbia Mills, Come On Live Long and DJ Alex Donald. Taking their name from the legendary building based on Dublin’s Quays that in the early 90s became a mecca for fans of the rave scene:

Columbia Mills have been described as a delicious melting pot of 80s and 90s influences, managing to sound both completely new and utterly familiar. Fans of Come On Live Long know them for their distinctive blend of exquisite melodies, driving rhythms and ethereal soundscapes. Their latest album In The Still At holds quiescent melancholia found in breathy vocals and soft handed melodies that lead into unexpected explosions of less controlled, violent dynamic shifts. And finally, DJ’ing throughout the night is DJ Alex Donald playing a mix of electro, house, hip-hop, pop and rock.

Arrive early and enjoy walking tours of the RHA Exhibitions Plunge by Vera Klute in Gallery I and Strange Attractors by Ronnie Hughes in Galleries II & III with RHA Director Patrick T. Murphy.  Guests will see a vast array of artworks in these two exhibitions, from painting, drawing and sculpture to print, video and installation based work.

It being the Halloween season get creative at the RHA Art Cart alongside the RHA’s art facilitators Hazel and Amie who will show visitors how to make Great Gatsby inspired 1920’s feathered masks, headbands and fake moustaches. Guests can get stuck into creating some artworks or whatever they wish with the huge array of free materials to work with on the cart! ‘Artist Bassam Al-Sabah will assist guests in creating their own masterpiece sculptures at the Clay Bar!’

Watch as the worlds of art and automation mesh by sitting to have your portrait drawn in a truly unique way … by one of our three resident robots. This unconventional method will no doubt spark conversations about the role of technology and automation in art and culture, as well as providing guests with their own unique portrait to take home. Or get lost in floor to ceiling reflections of yourself as far as the eye can see in the Hennessy Infinity Room.

Learn about Hennessy’s Savoir-Faire at a tasting masterclass with the Hennessy Brand Ambassador, featuring Very Special, V.S.O.P and X.O. Throughout the night Hennessy’s expert mixologists will also create Hennessy cocktails, including Hennessy & Ginger and Hennessy Sidecar. Hennessy was the first spirit to identify ginger as the perfect accompaniment, with the spice of ginger ale bringing out the natural spice of the world’s finest cognac. While RHA’s Coppa Café will be supplying scrumptious food throughout the night.

This event is strictly over 21s.

Tickets €20 + booking fee (include two complimentary Hennessy cocktails), to purchase tickets please click here.
